School Meal Program Update

Meal TrayA message from the CISD Food Service Team,

Since the beginning of the quarantine, we have been very fortunate to serve meals to all the children 18 and under in our community through the Summer Feeding Program.  However, with the beginning of virtual classes, we can no longer utilize the Summer program and will begin serving students through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and the School Breakfast Program (SBP) as we normally do during the school year.  This means we can only provide breakfast and lunch for enrolled students.  If you have been registered and receiving meals, you will continue to receive meals, but only for the students enrolled at Cloverport Schools.  We have made adjustments to our list and these changes will begin on Monday, August 24th

If you have not participated in our program this summer, you can still register to receive meals for your enrolled students!  We will provide 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches, at no charge, each week for each student.  These meals can be picked up on Mondays from 11:00-1:00.  If work schedules or transportation are a problem for you, we are happy to deliver your meals.  Someone must be home to receive the meals. You may register by filling out the survey on our school website, or you may contact Laura Shultz at (270)-788-3388 ext 132 or We not only appreciate your participation in our program, it is necessary for the continued operation of our program.  By registering to receive meals, you are not taking away meals from other families, you are helping to ensure we are serving enough students to keep our program running and free for all!

Thank you,

Laura Shultz
