We have had a great day of learning at CIS! As previously mentioned, we kept students indoors today and took some extra security precautions due to the ongoing safety concerns in nearby districts. I would like to reiterate that absolutely no threats have been made toward our school! When things like this occur this close to home, though, we want to be extra cautious.
As of this time, there are no updates to offer regarding the situation. Law enforcement is working diligently to resolve it, however. We will be in session again tomorrow and, if nothing changes, will continue to keep kids indoors with additional security measures in place. Outside of Ace Academy and the Board of Education meeting, there will be no other after school activities today (few were scheduled anyway).
I would like to thank all of you for your cooperation and understanding the last couple of days. We truly have an amazing learning community here in Cloverport.
